1. Download the Bird app. Save time by downloading and setting up the Bird app before setting out to find and ride a Bird. The application is available free of charge from the Apple Store and Google Play under the name "Bird - Enjoy The Ride". The application icon has a black background with a white wing icon.

2. Grant permissions to the Bird app. When you launch the app for the first time, you will be asked for permission to access your location and send notifications. You must allow the app to do this so it can find and find available scooters near you.

You can select "Only while using the app" option to prevent the app from accessing your location without your permission. It's up to you whether you want the app to send you notifications or not.

5. Enter your payment method. Click on the icon with the 2 parallel lines in the top left. Select "Payment". Choose one of the options to add a payment method and follow the on-screen instructions. The app will verify your selected method. Note: Not all credit cards can be snapped.

6. Find a bird. You can find an available Bird scooter using the map on the app's start screen, which also shows information about the scooter (battery, kilometers, etc.). Click on the icon of the bird you want to rent.

7. Go to your bird. The Bird scooter you have selected may be some distance from your current location. If so, go to your bird's location.
